Hello everyone. I am starting a project. I bought a Hough H60 at the beginning of the year. To big for what I need. But I couldn't turn it down. I really would like a backhoe, but the price was right and it was running when I purchased it. After clearing some land around my house, I noticed some minor problems. The restoration started because I noticed a leak of hydraulic fluid coming from around the torque converter. I was loosing fluid from the hydraulic reservoir. The seal on the pump is bad. Sooooo, since I'm taking off the pump, I'm gonna have it rebuilt. I also replaced every hydraulic hose on the machine (except 4), replaced a hard line running down the boom, and am now removing the reservoir and am going to sand it down, primer and paint it. I am adding new filters, and flushing out the lines and cylinders. The cylinders are in great shape (no leaks or rust). I plan on having the entire hydraulic system redone by the end of the month.
After the hydraulic system, I am replacing the electrical system. Including all wiring, all gauges, all sensors, except for the starter and alternator (both are in great condition). I will post pics and will be updating this monthly. I have owners manual, parts manual, service manual, break-down diagrams, fluid capacitys and specs if anyone needs any information.
