Recently got dropped a transmission from a ford a64 it is an allison tt2221-1 transmission. I didnt take the trans out of the loader or ever see it working but was told there was very little drive in any gear it would barely move itself forward or back. No pressures were checked trans was just ripped out. on opening the trans i found all the packs looked good all linings were good. I am not the first person to have been in here though. the suction pipe for the pump is damaged at 1 end where the seal sits on it and the seal has been reused with silicone around it so i suspect the pump was drawing air. the pump itself is scored inside but other than that i cant find much wrong. is there any way to check the torque converter now that i have it out and dissasembled? so far i need a pump,pick up tube and seal kit tryed allison for parts not having much luck has anybody any idea where else to start?
