I replaced the transmission pump on a 2006 988H because the pump was leaking. The machine sat for about a week because the radiator cores were being repaired got everything back together moved the loader 20 feet to the lube area topped off the transmission then serviced the diffs and finals moved the machine as it goes forward fine then I went to put it into reverse and it when into reverse a few times when I was draining the finals the last final the machine wouldn't go into reverse. I shut down the machine started it back up and the machine went into reverse. I messed with it today hooked up ET and there are no active codes. I noticed that it will go into reverse at first start up but after a couple forward and reverse application it won't move when placed into reverse. I did go through the gears manually and I could feel the transmission shifting but it wasn't moving. The machine moves fine in forward. So I was wondering if there could be air in the system since I just changed the pump? I am stumped on what to do I am pretty confident its pressure problem but I doesn't understand why it will go only in forward but not reverse. Also if anyone has any info on hows these transmission work that would be awesome. Please any help is much .
