I am in need of a wheel locking ring for a Michigan 75A loader. The old one rusted and basically fell off the wheel. The original part number is 551541 but no one has been able to locate one. Of course I would take a used one if it was in good shape or even an entire wheel assembly. I'm in southeastern PA and need some help. Thanks Lou![Name: 75A Wheel.jpg

Cat 988 (1974 year) Air problems
Not very good on Cat loaders so I need some help please. I have a 988 built in 1974 and it will not build air. First of all where is the compressor and where is the governor. The air tank in located on the right rear of the machine under the engine cover. Directly below is what I think is the air compressor but not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Ed

Michigan 55a
I have an old Michigan loader with the 3-53 Detroit. It runs good, everything works like it should for a fifty year old machine, but I can't keep it ideling. I've adjusted the valves and what not according to the service manual but the idle speed screw doesn't seem to do anything. I've screwed it all the way in and out with the engine running but nothing changes. The engine runs smooth, there doesn't seem to be anything else wrong other then idle speed, so I'm guessing it's governor related. Do the governors on these wear out? Or did I miss something? The governor's a DW-LS. If there is someone who knows more about these any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Case XT75 leaking into drive train
Wow - have to say what an incredible forum!! To say I will be gleaning is an understatement...
We've been using an old (6000hr) Case XT75 for a couple of years to try to build our own house (rammed earth). We've done a lot of work wit this machine, excavating etc and had to fix a few small issues, but nothing major...
But recently it has been using a lot of hyd fluid and we haven't been able to find the leak. 1 month on and the left hand brake wouldn't release so I removed the left drive chain cover to discover 35L of hid fluid! The pin had snapped so I have two questions if anyone can help:
1) The pin is mounted to a screw thread that comes out of a cylinder. The cylinder is $380 - but is it possible to replace the thread separately? The CASE website only shows the pin and the cylinder. About 1" has snapped off so I'm wondering if it is possible to just add / wells some extra thread to it? This cylinder had been sticking (you had to reverse a little to release it) so I don't know if that is a sign of the cylinder failing or a by-product of it being suspended in fluid instead of air!!
2) Is there a common seal that goes on the front of the wheel drive motor? Again on the CASE website the seal sway they only come with the motor(!) and at $2000+ we don't have the funds for that. Any suggestions would be appreciated - I'm tempted to just empty the extra fluid every week...though that may be a little *too* dodgy - even for me!

3306 Chinese clone
Any one have experience with Shanghai diesel engines? We just put a Shanghai 3306 clone in a Cat 966D and can't figure out how to regulate the air from the compressor. The supplier said the engine was configured for a 966E but I can't find any info on a difference between the D model and E model air systems. I also can't figure out who made the compressor, the only name plate on the compressor is in Chinese.

Adding Auxillary Hydraulics to Komatsu WA 150-5
We've had a 2007 Komatsu WA 150-5 for two winters now. We have used a 12' Snow pusher on it. It came with a JRB coupler, 2 yard bucket, forks, JRB plow frame, and a 12' pusher but no Auxillary Hydraulics. We have a 10' Everest power angle plow that hasn't been used the last couple of seasons and want to use it on this machine next season.
Do any Komatsu guys know if they sell a kit with the 3 spool control valve, controller, and Auxillary lines? If they do, have you installed one, and how long did it take?
Thanks,
Jim

My Terex 72-40 Wheel loader won't steer in one direction
My loader still turns to the right ok, but takes a lot of muscle and going back and forth to get it to turn back to the left. Once to the left, or even just straightened out, if I let go of the steering wheel while still traveling, it will gladly turn back hard to the right. ??

second best wheelloader?
Hello guys,
I have a question, I want to buy a wheel loader of about 15.000 kg (33.000 pounds) but i don´t have the money to buy Cat or Volvo.
If you compair brands like : Komatsu , Hyundai , Case ,Doosan ect what should I choose ?
The machine is needed for farmwork , like loading feed , manure ,compacting silages etc. What is the best type of transmission , how many HP do i need for this kind of work?
Thanks, Jos

Volvo L70 Adding A 4th Hydraulic Line
Hi All
Looking at getting an Allu screening bucket for my L70.
It's got a 3rd line already to quick hitch the bucket. I will need a 4th line to run the attachment.
http://s6.postimg.org/76qf1r869/IMG_0922.jpg
Looking in my book, this is the circuit I currently have:
http://s6.postimg.org/udarh6f4x/IMG_0918.jpg
This is the circuit for the 4th line.
http://s6.postimg.org/vr2echee9/IMG_0920.jpg
My question is, can I just split the 3rd line circuit? So in theory it would have a T piece at the end of each the existing pipes, then the four pipes would have a tap to divert the fluid? As the 3rd line lever in the cab is just used to connect or disconnect the bucket, you could close the taps once connected then use the same lever to divert the fluid to run the attachment?
Any thoughts would be greatly received.
Cheers
Karl

Case W14
Machine serial 9151904
Engine numbers 336BD
10350323
Head gaskets were leaking to the outside. I pulled the heads off and sent to have surfaced and checked for cracks. Guy said didnt find any cracks and werent warped. So i ordered new gaskets from case and put back together. Now the water runs out of the first head. The old gaskets had been leaking around the head bolts and someone put lots of stop leak in it. I am assuming i need shims. How do i determine what thickness i need. ? Or do i need to do something else? Thanks any help would be appreciated.

644b Deere Loader Low Trans Pressure Question/Issue
A little background info: I have a 644b Loader with around 11,000 hours. The trans is a Allison tt2000 or tt2200 I cant remember. The Loader has had about everything rebuilt except the trans.
Today I went to check out the loader as the winter snow season contract is over in 3 days and started it up. Everything checked out well except that my trans pressure gauge is in the red and showing me only 125 psi or so. I moved the loader around in forward and reverse and it did not hesitate or lack any power. About 3 days ago we had a inch or so of snow and the guys ran the machine for about 5 hours with no issues. The guage on there now is older but a mechanical gauge. With this scenario I have a few questions. I ordered a set of gauges to check trans pressures at a few points and will do that in the next few days. The gauge will also let me know if just the mechanical gauge is off or if there is actually low trans pressure. I know there is a bunch of things I need to look before assuming its the trans has a internal issue but can I run this machine without causing alot of damage if it is actually low on pressue or will doing so really grenade the rest of the transmission?
Feel free to repond to this post with any tips or sugesstions. My email is theo1035@comcast.net and cell is 847 668 9734 as well
Thanks!

Happened on level ground. Left front hit the vertical face of the bank, jerked the wheel out of my hand, right wheel continued to climb, bucket was in the air, the load shifted and she went over slow and easy. Stayed in the seat the entire time.
Now need to get her back on all fours. No damage.
