Cat 924 G neutralizer override

Hello,

does anyone know what is this button for? because when it is activated on my loader, nothing changes. In my oppinion, shouldn´t the loader be stopped getting forward whitout any torque, while I´m lifting the bucket beside a truck and pressing the brake with some acceleration? If yes, what can be done to check this problem? I really appreciate any helpfull answer.
