Hi Everyone ,
I reciently became the owner of a Michigan 175a Loader , I'm trying to get some info on it to figure out what if anything i can get parts for .
I have figured out its a series 1 by the placement of the Loader arms, I found a serial # tag on the engine, its a Detroit 4-71.
? is there another serial number on the machine somewhere ?
I really need info on fluids and what kind of parts are avalible.

I just recently bought a 1990 Volvo L30 loader. It seems like the transmission temp gauge does not move at all when in use, but if you have the parking brake on and put it in gear the gauge buries itself all the way to hot. Is this just some sort of warning light letting you know the brake is on or is there more to it electrically.

Hello ! Here is my yardmachine , it has leyland 11 liter motor runs ok exept a radiator leak ... all hydraulic works good but steering is slow . My englich is not so god so i hope you understand , I liv in shout finand 80 miles from russia west . Haw a nice winter :Henk.

Does the injection pump run off/or have anything to do with oil pressure? If I had to guess I would say the engine is around a 1976/ non turbo.

Hello,
I have this loader with Iveco common rail engine with Bosch fuel injection.
When I try to start the engine, it turns but it doesn't start. No smoke.
Sometimes if I turn it long enuff it kinda finds it's way and cranks up.
I have an error code that is "engine speed input".

I changed the crankshaft and also the camshaft speed sensor - no change, still doesn't start.

Any ideas?

All,

We have a 544J loader and have a problem with it on initial start

Fuel is good
Fuel lines are clean and good
The feed pump (not sure what its called but provides fuel to the main pump) is good
It is not sucking air
The main fuel pump has just been replaced
The engine compression is good
In warm weather
On initial start it turns over plenty fast but will not start
With just a touch of ether it will start and run fine
Even if you work it for a while, if you kill it and wait 30 seconds it will not start
There is not diesel in the oil

I do not know the details of the system well enough to know what might cause this....is there a cam sensor or crank sensor that could cause this? it just acts like the injectors are not pulsing or something like that....but why only until it starts...it is turning 250 it is not turning over too slow.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Case W20c with A504BD engine,

water started showing up in the oil, I pulled the heads and one gasket came out in three pieces. The heads tested ok, I surfaced the block and heads with a polishing wheel, reassembled and torqued the heads, adjusted the valves and drained, flushed oil system and cooling system. I still have water showing up in oil and leaving cooling systems. I am not a "real" mechanic, this is the farthest I have been into an engine.

Where do I look for the problem and how do I test???

Possible to convert 2 lever controls to single lever joystick on Case w20c????

I have a cat 920 wheel loader.I replaced clutch disc and i repaired.because of its power has lost suddenly. i found the reason.there was a broken spring in the pressure control valve.so i put a new one.the problem is loader has no much power. other thing is transmission oil color is getting dark and temperature reaching high.
can anyone give me a pressure setting catalog of a cat 920.
please i appreciate any help.

Hi we have a 1979 Hanomag 55c wheel loader seems as if the limeted slip diff in the rear is binding. Like the diff oil additive has lost its slip. Drained diff and planetaries no metal. We deed to refill diff ect. the oil that came out is red and thick but not atf does anyone know what we should be putting in to refill ???

I have an '04 544J. On Friday afternoon, while the machine was running, the instrument panel stopped working (LCD went blank and all analog gauges quit). The machine only has about 2,200 hours and has never given any indication that here might be an issue with it. The transmission is no longer working properly either. It seems as though it is working only in one gear (forward and reverse) and the transmission does not usually engage without asking it several times (moving the shuttle lever between N and F or R, whichever you are trying to use several times).
I spoke with one of the local Deere mechanics and he suspects that the cluster has failed. As you may imagine it is a very expensive part. I have a hard time thinking why this part would fail with so few hours on the machine.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I was sent to a volvo L220e that will not start without a ton of ether ( as per owner). Checked fuel filters, overflow valve, has new feed pump, and 45 psi cranking fuel pressure 155 cranking rpm and very little to no smoke as it cranks. He got it going using the starter fluid method and it will restart warm but it misses a little on restart and cranks for 7 seconds before it starts (warm) any idea where to go from here?

I have this loader that has been sitting for ~10 years. Trying to get it running.

Fuel tank had ~an inch of fuel in it. Looks like OK stuff. Poured in another 5 gallons.

Cranked the engine over. Gave it a sniff of starting fluid and it started right up. :) Yay.
It ran for ~ one minute and started loosing power, wouldn't rev anymore, finally died. :(

Took the fuel filters off. They look good. Filled them up with new fuel and put back on.

I pressurize the fuel tank and got fuel to the fitting on the end of the tube coming from the tank. (RED line in my picture)
I got fuel to the outlet of the first filter, so the filter is filled. (Start of BLUE line in my picture)
I got fuel to the other end of that (BLUE) tube to the ?intake? of the ?pump?. (Filled the BLUE line in my picture)
I got fuel out the other side of the ?pump?. (Start of PURPLE line in my picture)
I got fuel to the fitting at the top of the (PURPLE) line to intake of the ?secondary? filter. (Filled the PURPLE line in my picture)
I got fuel to the outlet of the second filter, so the filter is filled. (Start of GREEN line in my picture)
The other end of that (GREEN) tube goes into the block somewhere.

I kept air pressure in the fuel tank and tried starting, NO GO. :(
A sniff of starting fluid in the air intake and it almost acts like it might run but no kick.

NOW WHAT?

Do I need to bleed injectors somewhere? I don't see coiled tubes from a pump going to individual injectors.
I see allen head plugs on this left side of the engine but nothing that looks like injectors or covers.
Are there injectors inside the covers on the right side of the engine? I expected that was valves. Didn't crack them open.

I am looking for a wiring schematic or trouble shooting guide for this unit.

It runs fine but wont move. If I move the gear selector forward or backward I can hear a relay click in the fuse box. The back up alarm works in reverse. the parking brake light goes off when I release the brake. I have good voltage.

924G squealing while steering

Our 924G has developed a squealing noise while steering like the relief valve is opening. Can someone point me in the direction of this valve? Its not listed in the parts book. Serial number in the DDA2300 range.
