have a 2012 caterpillar 262c2. it has the c3.4 in it. TMW is the serial prefix. Here is the issue when engine is cold runs perfect starts fine. Once it is at operating temp it will run at high idle anything over 1600 rpms for about a minute and began to slow down and begin sputtering and blowing blue smoke. already replaced the turbo. cracked injector lines and low and high idle. replaced transfer pump. I already know that the tank and fuel lines are good. does anyone have any other ideas on this. there are no service codes. all cat trouble shooting leads to nothing.

Jcb 412s
When called out to check weak steering on loader I discovered that smaller of tandem hyd pump (ultra) was under constant pressure of 90 bar; on further investigation I flow tested both pumps and both were only 60% of full flow when loadedto 200 bar; however I dont want to fit new pump while small one is under constant pressure. I checked pressure when cold and it was normal (ie charging brake and servo system every ten seconds or so- JCB engineer saids this was normal)) however it reverted to constant pressure when system warmed up (5mins). I blanked off supplies to brake and servo systems and pump was under normal predssure (10 bar), however the guage (which I had fitted between pump and charge valve) flicked up to appprox 30 bar every 7/8 seconds, has anyone come across this prob before; any suggestions what to do next?

Ingersoll Rand WL-440 no start
Machine stop running while in use, Will not restart.
The dash doesn't do its full light up and sweep gauges, It just shows a triangle with an explanation point in the middle of it on the display. Stays solid for a while then starts flashing. Turn the key and it does nothing, Already checked all the fuses I could find. One fuse on a wiring harness under the switches by the joystick was blown but is replaced and hasn't blown yet.
Any ideas?

Need help with Old Michigan Loader, whining noise from hydraulics
I am trying to figure out why there is so much whining noise from my loader. The fluid appears to be aerated. I don't know if the noise is because the fluid is aerated or the what is making the noise is aerating the fluid.
I made a short video of the loader that would probably explain it better.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtUE...e&noredirect=1,
The sound changes when I move the bucket controls. Even just a slight movement changes the sound. The sound doesn't appear to be coming from the pump but more at the front. The hydraulic controls are there in the front, just below the reservoir. The reservoir has the vibration and so do the hoses to the main lift cylinders. If you grabbed the hose to the right cylinder and held it for 20 minutes your hand would be numb. Like using a weedeater. The other cylinders, for the bucket tilt, have no vibration in them at all. I tried to grab the hydraulic control valves and get no vibration, but one of the hoses to the main lift cylinders does have the vibration.
I inspected the suction line from the reservoir to the pumps and find nothing except in watching the video, I now see a flange at the main pump and have not taken that apart or inspected it closely.
And looking at the oil, it looks aerated?
The engine idle is high and I need to fix that so I don't know if the high idle causes more whine noise?

What are "normal" hours???
Hi all, Bought a 2011 John Deere 244J(compact wheel loader) off a dealer, was used as a landscape material loader...I will use only for snow removal. My question is I bought it with 2,000 hours, not showing any "codes" etc...I changed engine oil and filter, greased every fitting I could find.. are these "high" hours? normal?
I have NOT had hydraulic fluid changed or filter yet, have not changed "wheel oil", differential etc. Never worked on a machine like this, (had a small Kubota before this) I'm looking for advice from all you pros that use wheel loaders etc., I know mine is a small one, but I thought I would start here. Thanks!

CAT IT24F blowing blue smoke
My 1997 Cat IT24F ran out of fuel the other day. Has done it many times as the fuel gauge has never worked since we bought it in 2001...
Anyhow, it now feels short on fuel so we changed both fuel filters with new OEM ones. Still short on fuel and blows a lot of blue/white smoke. Engine is a 3114 T. Has 14500 hours. Never changed injectors. Can they be failing? I remember my excavator having the same engine and that one had to have new injectors once.
Engine has been overhauled about 3 years ago, had a crack in a cylinder wall, was putting water in the oil. New sleaves done by machine shop, on CAT dealers order with warranty. Local mechanic did the rebuilding of the engine.
Thanks, Dennis

Cat it24f steering leak
I have a Cat IT24F wheel loader that is leaking oil out of steering shaft seal. It looks like the orbital motor is removed from under cab. There is a steel plate that is bolted to the cab floor with 3 nuts. Is there anything that is holding the input shaft to the steering column shaft that to be dealt with, or will the motor drop down when the nuts holding the plate are removed? Thanks, Terry

Case 1840 Loader hydraulics
Figured I would start a new thread. Got the hydraulics working they just do not have any power to lift or tilt bucket when I get much of a load on it say 1/2 bucket full. What if the hoses are connected to the loader valve wrong IE connected to the wrong spool? Also if I let the loader stand with the loader raised up it will creep down overnight.

mw24c military loader
I bought a JI Case mw24c loader direct from the military. the data plate has a date of 2006 that has been stamped on. The machine was built in 1984. My question, can anyone tell me how to look/tell what has been done to the loader. It appears that work has been done to it but could it have been refurbished and to what extent. thanks

Loader kit for a crane
This is a Fowler crane from the 1940's based on an IH Farmall farm tractor with a front loading bucket attachment. These cranes were built on an assortment of farm tractors in Melbourne. I also found a photo from the Melbourne Museum of a Massey Harris with a similar set-up. May be basic but would have been easier and more efficient than shovelling a load of gravel onto a truck by hand!

Converting M10A forklift to IH 530 loader
The early 1980's military M10A forklift is based on an IH/Dresser 530 wheel loader. It looks to be the same except for the minor military requirements and the addition of the Hyster fork lift attachment. Anyone know what is involved in adding a bucket to the M10A? The curl cylinders look different- the forklift version will not pull all the way in- no need to dump the load off the front of the forks. What else?

where to find a quick attach for J.I. Case mw24c loader
Anyone out there know who has a quick attach for a mw24c loader. I use the bucket often and also would like to set it up to load big square bales with a bale spear. Beating those pins out every time to change attachments would get old quick.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Fuel gage ground problem?
The fuel gage on my loader (JD544A 1973) indicate always "full", maybe the gage is good so I want to check the ground, does anyone know if the ground wire is located on the top of the fuel tank or elsewhere? :)
