Hi Everyone, This might be a stupid question...so here it goes. I have a 2011 John Deere 244J compact wheel loader w/about 2,000 hours. My owners manual says change engine oil and filter every 500 hrs., well I bought the machine used, and the last oil change was done 1,300 hours, so I changed it as soon as I got . BEFORE I changed the oil, I checked the level which was fine, but black. I changed the oil and filter ran it ,checked it...its black still! Is this normal? I have a 1997 Ford f350 power stroke, and when I can that oil it stays golden for a while.... Thanks

910 cat 41Y has lots of fuel pressure but won't run. Help!
910 cat loader won't run and has lots of fuel. Everythin turns and appears to work. Any ideas? Something broken internal? Operator said it sputtered like it was out of fuel so he quickly shut it off. We bled system and put new filter on and filled it right up and now nothing. Fuel pumping out like crazy, not even a pop. Any ideas?? Any help would be great! Thanks

Case 621 B XT wont move
I have a Case 621B xt loader that will not move in the forward or reverse direction in 1st or 2nd gear. The machine will move normally in 3rd and 4th gears. We farm so the loader is not used on a daily basis. The machine was parked in the shed with everything working perfectly. Its has a leaking brake line in the front that we have not had time to repair. While setting in the shed some hydraulic fluid was lost, but the fluid was brought back up to the full level before starting the machine. Do not know if the low fluid level had anything to do with the issue. Trying the find a starting place for troubleshooting

Case 921C front differential inoperative .
Here's a dandy problem ! Have a ZF differential causing me to have a fit . Any ideas appreciated . 921C Case loader ser. no. 125027. Operator was loading out of sandpile ,when he hears and feels a pop . Loader will no longer power front wheels .... driveshafts all intact . Can see ring and pinion are turning thru oil fill hole . Drained differential oil and did not find any metal frags . Drained transmission and found no metal frags . Removed differential and dissasembled . found no broken parts or debris . Reassembled and still no movement when turning pinion shaft yoke . Dissasembled a second time , checked planetarys and all axle shafts & splines , spiders and clutch plates . Reassembled and still able to hold wheel hubs stationary while turning pinion yoke .......
Took differential and delivered to local Case dealer They susequently found some brake discs broken and replaced those along with the clutch packs in the carrier spider assys .Upon recieving differential from dealer , I installed in machine and took to rock yard to try out . Machine still will not power front wheels . Brought machine into shop and disconnected front driveshaft . With front wheels on ground , I can turn front driveshaft with little resistance . Common sense tells me I should not be able to turn the front driveshaft at all . Jacked machine completely off ground . In forward rear wheels & front driveshaft turn , but front wheels do not ....
Sorry for lengthy story , but am open to any and all suggestions . Differential is ZF MT 3105/LK 528

help for sick running Cummins B 3.9 ?
Last winter I thought I had icing problems with the fuel in my loader, I can pretty much bet thats not what it was as in July, I still have trouble.
The picture shows what it is, hopefully, and what it's doing is running out of fuel. It'll suck the water sep. and the fuel filter half empty, run no higher than idle, sometimes stall altogether. Sometimes after it stalls, I can start to spin off the water sep can, and hear a hiss as it either sucks in air or lets it out. I've changed the water sep, the fuel filter, drained the tank & blown out the lines [FUEL & RETURN] The tank was clean, it has a standpipe up into the fuel. It may start right up and seem fine, but in two minutes it'll just go flat, only idle, sometimes pick up and go, most times not. I hope I'm missing something easy, never owned a diesel before. Sometimes as it's getting going again, I'll get smoke out the stack [usually theres none] Those 4 fittings on the lines I've cracked lose while it's idling, fuel will squirt out & the idle bog down until I tighten it again. ???? I'm lost.

Case 621D Loader Axel Parts Cross Reference
I'm currently rebuilding the rear diff and axle in my Case 621D Loader. The axle and diff is actually made by ZF. I have been astounded at the price of parts to overhaul the diff. Parts quotes alone top $20,000. A great number of the parts required are bearings and I am having little luck cross referencing Case or ZF part numbers to bearing numbers. Unfortunately, I am unable to get the bearing numbers off the old parts directly as they have worn off.
We have had success is cross referencing one bearing and the genuine Case price was 500% more, hence my desire to cross reference more part numbers.
If anyone could provide any advice or references for cross referencing it would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Trojan 1700Z with Deutz 5FL912
Hi All,
I have a 1989 1700Z Trojan Loader with a 5FL912 with a rod knock. Loader has good power. When initially started, there is no knock. Seems as that as the oil warms up, the knock starts and the knock becomes worse. I had the injectors rebuilt because I felt as though the engine was not running smoothly. One was stuck open.
Engine is a 2006 replacement, by previous owner.
Decided to pull the engine. Have an issue getting the engine separated from the ZF transmission. Access cover on left side is off and there is a 4"X4" chassis frame post that is 2" away from the opening and can barely get my hand in to touch the bolts let alone get a wrench on it. Doesn't have any other opening for access. Pulling the transmission with the engine is a real bear because of the tight work space.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Paul

Clark 55b transmission slipping?
I just bought a Clark 55b I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the transmissions/ torque converters this loader seems to be pretty weak once out of first gear. It moves in the other gears but it does not get up to speed as it should in second and third gear. The engine rpm is governed at 2200 rpm right now which I will be turning up to the 2800 rpm the 4-53 Detroit should be at.
Any help would be great! Thanks!

We have a CAT 950K on rent without operator working to handle waste on a concrete floor , we need to return the bucket blade ( Hardox 400 ) in average every 185 hours , is it possible to lock the bucket on float mode to avoid the several operators to push too hard on the blade

544J Trans Fault Limp Home Mode
As the title says I have a 544J that goes into limp home mode. It has a trans fault light on the moniter. The machine will drive forward and reverse but stays in second gear from what I can tell.
The FNR switch on the monitor appears to work. I can go through all 4 gears and they change on the moniter. Say you back up and go into forward, it will not change direction unless you come to a complete stop and wait for 1 second. I've been going through this machine for over a week now trying to figure out why its kicking into limp mode :Banghead
The Limp Home code is TCU 522365.13
Things I have done so far:
Replaced FNR switch with the new Hall effect switch and harness adapter for the ground. (No change)
Swapped TCU with a sister machine. (No change)
Changed the harness that comes up from the floor to the monitor, parking brake switch FNR Etc. (No Change)
Opened the solenoid cover on trans and inspected harness. Seems ok.
Cleaned, Inspected and Dielectric Greased and and All Electrical plugs, connections, TCU plug, Fuse Panel Plugs, Cannon/Bulkhead plugs grounds etc.
I learned that they had this issue before and the monitor was replaced. That fixed the problem temporarily but it came back I was told. The new monitor had 200hrs.
I've been back and forth with JD and they can't figure out why it's going into limp mode, they say something else is causing it. It doesn't spit out anymore TCU codes other than limp home mode. It does however give me a hydraulic pressure high/low circuit. I called JD about it and they told me it does not have a hydraulic pressure gauge. The monitor reads 0.
Another thing i noticed on the monitor in Service mode is when you open up the switches menu it will tell you what switches are on/off. The Parking brake switch according to the monitor the center and on stays off. Yet the parking brake does turn on and it does release.
Now I have been able to make it go off on a start and drive it around normally. But once I shut it off and restart it comes back on. It's intermittent when it wants to work.
Thanks all for reading hopefully someone has some insight on what I can check. I can usually figure out most things but this is one that has me baffled.

case 580 SE backhoe. arm wont swing fully right?
the backhoe arm will not swing right as far as it should stops hard about 2 foot short of where it should.. arm goes fully left. smooth the whole way until it stops. replaced upper and lower pins.. and new right swing cylinder. new hoses. if you take the pin on the end of the left swing rod out the arm will make it fully right as it should? is it a dead left swing cylinder holding it back? what confused me is I took the top pin out at the beginning it was wore down. looks like nobody knew what grease was. flipped it 180 degrees around to where the lock nut hole was pointed backwards towards the operator.. knocked it back in and the thing swung right like it should? thought the pins were throwing it off or something but after new upper and lower pins back to square one! the man who owns it says he didn't notice it until after he changed the hoses.. they are all clear and not collapsed. hooked up right according to the manual..and the right swing cylinder was replaced because the rod had a bend in it. clearly visible. what woulda caused that? hydro locking can bend them I know. any help appreciated ive been in diesel mechanic school for 5 months now so just trying to learn all I can.. can fix anything just don't have the diagnosing part down yet haha
