721 d won't crank

The 721 that we changed the injectors on will not crank at all now. All fuses are good, we get a crank signal to the relay going to the starter but no power to the relay to switch it over. Both of those wires come straight from the ecu. Continuity is good in the wires. It is like the ecu getting a signal to not start motor. Tranismission in

Hello operator was complaining about our 544k having no power. Engine jumps right to 1800 but feels like trans is slipping. Is there a calibration to the clutch PAC? Seams I remember doosan mechanic telling me they need to do it every year on there's. Looks like I need to find a troubleshooting manual.

930 won't when cold?

Howdy, we have an older 1970s vintage 930 wheel loader that has to sit an idle 30 min before it will move. It developed this problem a couple of months ago and I just thought the oil was super cold. Now that its 60 degrees it hasn't improved. Sometimes it starts to move then acts like it in neutral, but after ideling around a while it works perfect. I'm getting ready to change the oil and filter which has 250hr on it. What else should I check? I'm going to order a service manual off cat tomorrow, any advice wold be appreciated.

Hello Everyone
My loader runs out fine in all 4 gears, but when I go to dig, push or load the bucket the drive seems to slip. Is this a torque converter issue? There is no grinding sounds or jerky movements. Thanks John

Cummins Repower

Hi Guys, my first post on here after lurking for a while and soaking up some of your knowledge.

I was contacted today by a customer who has two Komatsu wheel loaders W600 and W700 that have broken engines.

The question he asked was could he repower these machines with Cummins KTA19 engines of similar powers.

I know there is difference in size and Komatsu make their engines under licence, I'm looking for real world advice in the sense of could these engines be used by swapping bellhousings and some engineering work. i.e. in a developing country.

Thanks for any advice if any and have a nice day

Ford A 64 tt2221-1 Allison tranny issues

Hi i have a Ford A 64 with an Allison TT22221-1 Trans in it. My problem is there is almost no power in the 2nd gear, Its like the clutch or torque converter is slipping or not working. In first gear, pushing into a snow pile it seems to have power, but when you put it in second and hit a hill the machine almost comes to a stop and the engine doesnt bog down at all. Can anybody tell me where the pressure test ports on the trans are so i can hook a gauge up to it, and if anybody has ever had problems like this and also where i could download a service manual?

Thanks so much for your time. Scott in Ottawa Canada

Our IT28G wont start, but when started she will not go int any gear on either of the gear selectors (Joystick or gear stick). Seems like the reason she wont start is because she is in gear on the joystick selector switch but wont go into neutral. HELP?

Cat 910 Wheel Loader. Drive problem

I've a pretty old 910 loader (80U2873). When I start up, I've got reverse, neutral, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears. after a short time (2 or 3 mins or a few gear changes) I lose ALL drive.
I've replaced all 'O' rings in the Transmission (Tx) Oil Pump suction line, I've checked the Left side "Tx Disconnect Brake pedal". Tx oil level is correct. Oil pump puts out heaps of oil. I noticed that the "modulating relief valve" and the "load piston" (and the cylinders that they operate in, in the oil pump housing) seemed a bit 'glazed', and with a bit of a "wear lip" so I removed the glaze and most of the lip (from both pistons and cylinders) with very fine emery wet/dry, this then gave me about 30/45 mins of usage with the old girl before drive ceased once again.
I found that I could 'creep' back home (bout 200 metres/2300 yds) in first gear at an idle, any revs, drive stopped.
Hope one of you forum members can point me in the right direction. Its my first effort at using the forum so please bear with me if I stuff up the system....
Many thanks

International 560 engine swap

Hi

I recently purchased an International 560 loader with an IH817C bad engine. It has a broken timing gear which sheared the key on the crankshaft and bent several valves and pushrods. I'm finding parts are scarse or non existent. Gaskets are very expensive. Is a Cummins a good option. Could a 855 block be put in that or is it adaptable. Would the bell housing from the Cummins fit the IH. Also would the splined drive plate torque from the IH bolt up to the Cummins flywheel.

Any thoughts or information on this would be appreciated !

VOLVO L90 Loader random intermittent stalls

Hey guys my crew are having problems with our L90 loader.
the issue is that the engine will randomly cut out, to get her going again you must select neutral and turn the ignition off.
she will then either fire up immediately or take about 2 cranks at around 3 seconds each.

i have checked fuel filters and fuel at the common inlet, disconnected cleaned and reconnected many many plugs and fuses.
it happens when sitting still and selecting gears or when travelling across ground.
she has a belt driven fuel lift and low pressure pump.

there was a thread on here with the same loader same problem but the bloke that started it never got back with his findings :(

any help would be awesome

Case B & C wheel loader Steel Light Housings NOT PLASTIC 521b 621b 721b 821b 921b

The mounting post is heavy reinforced steel C Channel. But the housing "gaurd" that bolts to it is plastic that gets more fragile with age and cold weather. Don't pay $120 (part #L126951) for a couple pounds of plastic thats going to break again. Just weld one up in 20mins for $30 that looks the exact same as OEM and will never break.
Steps:
1. Order 14" of 6x8x3/16" rectangle tube from here($25): http://www.midweststeelsupply.com/st...hp?product=139
2. Cut off 3.5" of the tube. The blinker will mount to one 8" side, it will bolt to the machine the 6" side. Cut off the other 8" side(to match oem). Use the broken plastic as a template to drill the blinker and mounting holes quickly to match OEM.
3. Take the rest the 6x8 tube(~10.25") cut it in half to match the same angle as the front of the oem plastic housing.
4. In these two pieces of rectangle use a grinder to notch the slot to mount the headlights inside the tube, just like the oem.
5. Weld The 3 pieces together. Put the backing plate on the back with nuts bolted on & weld the nuts in place. Take the backing plate off & paint.

Order a little longer tube if you want a deeper shield for more protection. or order a larger tube if you want to put larger lights in it. On the OEM design the blinkers are vulnerable so cars to the side can see the blinker. If you want more protection, weld a piece of rebar/bar stock on the corners so they can still see the light, but a branch can't hit it.

1960s Allis Chalmer Tl-14D After 5 Minutes Won't Move

$

I traded work for a 1960s vintage Allis Chalmers TL-14D. After 5 minutes the forward clutch pressure drops from 200psi to less than 100psi and it won't move. For the first 3 minutes I can spin the tires. I've changed the transmission filter, clean the screen and put in new fluid and it made no difference. It won't move in forward or reverse. I suspect the first gear clutch pack is leaking. Before I tear down, any tests I should run. Also, where can I find piston rings and seals for the clutch packs. I've rebuilt a direction reverser on a John Deere dozer, but this tractor is new to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank-you
