1986 wa350 won't move

Plowing this morning. Driving up the street and all of a sudden the loader revved up and stopped moving. Clutch cutout switch didn't do anything. Cut the wires and still nothing. Parking brake not applied. Oil level in trans is good. Filter has less than 100 hrs. You can feel it go into forward and reverse but it will rock back and forth maybe an inch and that's it and motor just revs. Same symptom in all 4 gears forward or reverse. I didn't dig into the solenoid block yet since I'm still plowing but if I'm feeling it go into forward or reverse, can I eliminate that as an issue in there? Just throwing stuff around in my head as I'm working until I get a chance to look at it tomorrow. Any thoughts?

Volvo L70 Oil Leak Front Wheel

Hi all

Just noticed yesterday my L70 is leaking oil behind the brake disc on the front left wheel. Don't have much experience with these. I'll post a pic tomorrow, just wanted an opinion and how easy a job it is to do.

Obviously I can put the bucket down to lift her up and get the wheel, caliper off etc, but don't want to start taking the hub to bits and getting out of my depth.

Looking for ROCKWELL TRANSFER CASE experts

I have a tractor called a M R S Mississippi Road Service--it is a 1965 with a 4-71 and 5 speed Spicer with a Rockwell transfer case. This case is a 2 speed--hi low and a front shaft that runs the front 4x4.

Rockwell model T 223 C1
SN 8 64 0004
Ratio 1 - 62
QUESTION I am trying to find what heavy duty truck used this EXACT transfer case. This is a component tractor made with parts that were out there at the time of build.
I have GOOGLED and called those big truck repair places all over the country. M R S has been out of business MANY years and the company that bought them out has NO idea about the tractor.

Maybe off of heavy duty Military trucks of the 60's , but not sure
Thanks for any help.

JD 644C will not move

Driving at a slow speed today it came to a dead stop. It will begin to move and stop hard in either direction. The engine will load up.

The loader, steering, and brakes all work.

We removed the front driveshaft and pulled the rear axle disconnect. It still starts to move the trans and locks up with a clunk.

What went wrong in the trans?

Is it better to fix or replace?

Where is a good source for a reman trans?

TIA.

2004 Volvo L40B shifting issues

$

Hello all, new to the site and looking for some guidance. Im hoping someone has dealt with this same issue. We just purchased a 2004 Volvo L40B a month ago and have been having issues with the hydrostactic transmission going into 2nd gear and staying engaged. The issue is that when the lever is turned to 2nd gear and give it throttle it will stay engaged in 1st for a while and then will kick into 2nd and stay there for a while. Sometimes it will shift in 2nd and it will engage/disengage sporatically. Other times it will be in second gear and then all of a sudden just go into 1st and stay there for a long period of time. Also, this is occurring while not under a load. Simply transporting from one place to another. I was advised to clean up the high/low electrical connections on rear axle hydraulic pump. So I have taken off the high/low electrical connections on the axle hydro pump and cleaned them up, cleaned up the ground on the frame and have had no luck. After that we took it into a dealer and had them work on it. They told us they recrimped the electrical connections to ensure there was good connections, and that solved the issue. They test drove it down the road and no problems they said. I drove it when we picked it up and it shifted into 2nd after about 5 seconds and after about 10 seconds in reverse. They said this was normal and it had to build pressure before it shifted and the revers was a delay. Thought it was fixed till I ran a snow pusher out to a place and sure enough acted up again, shifting sporatically, not shifting at all for a long period of time, or just staying in 1st. Every time I would come to a stop, it then would stay in 1st for a period of time or not shift at all. Super frustrating to say the least. Had to leave it in the shop when we just had a 10" snow storm past two days. The shop is sending a tech over sometime this week, but any advice on how to trouble shoot this myself is greatly appreciated. Machine is in great condition, solid, tons of power when operating correctly. Just need to get this bug worked out and get it running normal before the next snow. Thanks in advance for the help.

Mark

Hi Everyone, I have a 2011 John Deere 244J compact wheel loader, no issues I think. I am new to this type of equipment, so please bare with me!(lol) I had the Hydraulic fluid/filter replaced 2 months ago, this unit is ONLY used for snow removal etc. I looked at the sight glass and level was perfect, right at the "full" mark. We have had almost 4 feet of snow in the last week or so, I have put a total of 6 hours here and there moving piles etc. Last week I parked it in the shop, looked at the level after turning engine off and I think it was just below the "full" mark. 2-3 days later without running it, I looked and it was just above the "full" mark, I guess things have to settle?

And last! I have a o-ring that weeps off a hyro line towards front bucket, may drip a few days and leave a trickle in a pan I put under neath, not sure if it drips when using the loader, but stops after the machine sits for a day or so, and when I say trickle I mean very very minor. thanks! Philip
